Newcomers Cancelling Events Through June 30
Due to the higher risk to many Newcomers Members of contracting the Coronavirus, all Newcomers events have been cancelled through June 30th. We will resume our normal schedule of events as soon as it is safe to do so.
However, some of our resourceful activity coordinators have started holding online events using Zoom. Zoom is an easy way to go online to talk with each other, see each other and enjoy some time together while still "socially distancing."
So far, the online events (identifiable by the bright yellow background on the Newcomers calendar) include Afternoon Book Club, Mah Jongg, Sociable Singles, Men Having Happy Hour and Women Who Lunch.
Most of all: stay safe and healthy so that we can all toast our good fortune when things get running again. In the meantime, please thank the coordinators who are learning Zoom and hosting events - it's their spirit that makes Newcomers the club that it is!

Have you moved to Chapel Hill, Durham, Pittsboro, Carrboro or Hillsborough within the past three years?
Membership in Newcomers is a great way to meet new people and learn about places to go and things to do in the Triangle. We are a welcoming group to all.
Our monthly Meet & Greet is an informal way to meet members and learn about club activities and special events. They are held on the first Monday of each month from 5:30-7:00 PM at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill. There is no charge and no need to register. If you plan to come, please let us know and email our membership chair (email@example.com) so that we can properly welcome you.
Members build a network of friends by taking part in social activities and interest groups whether it is hiking or wine tasting, a book club, a lunch or game group. If you click on the following icon, you can see the monthly schedule for regular club events.
Monthly Regular Newcomers Events for 2019-2020
