Since 1992, the Newcomers Club of Greater Chapel Hill has
provided opportunities for members to connect,
learn and explore the rich history and social life of the Triangle.
Couples and individuals who have lived in this area
for less than three years or who have experienced
a major life-changing event qualify for membership.
With over 350 members, our Club offers hundreds
of activities and events throughout the year!
Book groups, golf, hiking, walking, mah jongg, lunch &
coffee groups, dinners, singles groups, documentary film
discussions, and regular educational and social events
are just some of the activities you’ll enjoy with Newcomers.

As a Newcomers member, you’ll meet new residents
as well as those who have been here for a while and know
the area. This is your opportunity to become part of
an active and vibrant community of friends!

Meet & Greet is a social event where current Club members
meet with new and prospective members over drinks
and snacks to share the fun that Newcomers offers.
If you have joined within the last year, this is a "MUST DO" event.
If you have moved to the area within the past three years,
we'd love to tell you about our Club.
Current members, this is a great opportunity to introduce
your friends to the Club.
We're a social organization whose purpose is to help you
learn about the area and meet new friends.
