Welcome to Your New Home Town!

Since 1992, the Newcomers Club of Greater Chapel Hill has
provided opportunities for members to connect,
learn and explore the rich history and social life of the Triangle.
Couples and individuals who have lived in this area
for less than three years or who have experienced
a major life-changing event qualify for membership.

With over 350 members, our Club offers hundreds
of activities and events throughout the year!
Book groups, golf, hiking, walking, mah jongg, lunch &
coffee groups, dinners, singles groups, documentary film
discussions, and regular educational and social events

are just some of the activities you’ll enjoy with Newcomers.

Just scroll through our calendar to see what's coming up next!

As a Newcomers member, you’ll meet new residents
as well as those who have been here for a while and know
the area.  This is your opportunity to become part of
an active and vibrant community of friends!

Newcomers strongly recommends that our members be vaccinated and boosted
in accordance with CDC Guidelines but does not require proof of vaccination or
boosting. We rely on the good faith of our members to help keep themselves and
other members healthy. Masking will be required if the in-person venues of our
events (including members’ homes) so require.

In addition, we ask that members not attend in-person events if they have fever, cough, shortness of breath or new loss/change in taste or smell or have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last five days.
