Alzheimers and the Search for a Cure



 


5.7 million persons in the U.S. are currently diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease.   AD prevalence is expected to increase as our population ages.

By 2025, 7.1 million Americans are predicted to have Alzheimers  and by 2020 the number is predicted to be 13.8 million.

JIM CAPPOLA received his MD and PhD from Rutgers and UACJ Medical School joint program. He has 30 years in drug development including roles at Merck, Bristol Meyers, VP at Knoll Division of BASF (Abbott Labs), and recently as the Medical Director at the Harvard Clinical Research Institute. Jim is now consulting to research companies since moving to Chapel Hill NC
