When:

Focusing on Short Game (chipping and putting)

Where: Duke University Golf Club
3001 Cameron Blvd, Durham

Reception after the clinic at the Washington Duke Inn

In this session, the golf pro will go over the fundamentals of the short game, chipping and putting, followed by a reception at the Washington Duke Inn.  This will be fun for members with all levels of golf experience.  The beginner will be introduced to the short game fundamentals.  The experienced golfer will be given a good review of the fundamentals, which is always helpful.  And then there is the reception for socialization.

Although this is the second of two sessions, you don't need to have attended the first to attend this one - each session is focused on a different aspect of the game.

The lessons will be given by one of the Club's PGA Head Golf Professional, Rob Pilewski, a very qualified golf pro, as you can see:

His work experience includes Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club, Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club and Pinehurst Resort & Country Club. Rob conducted day-to-day golf operations and tournament management, as well as spreading hospitality among members and guests. Rob’ s achievements include winning the 2007 Carolinas PGA Horton Smith Award and 1999 Carolinas PGA Assistant of the Year.

Rob is a Pennsylvania native and graduate of Methodist University (Fayetteville, NC) where he majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Management. He and his wife, Avis, are proud parents of two lovely daughters.

Each session will have a maximum of 10 participants, and we need a minimum of 5 for each. The Clinic is one hour, followed by the reception.

We will meet in the pro shop of the Duke University Golf Club, which is located in the back of the Washington Duke Inn.  When you first enter the parking lot, there are signs directing you to go right and down.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early.

If anyone needs clubs, please contact Glenn at the number above - the pro shop will provide the clubs at no charge.
