Membership
Membership in the Newcomers Club of Greater Chapel Hill is
open to all persons who have moved to the greater Chapel
Hill area from another geographic area within the last 24 months
and who are now residing here.
Prospective members may attend one General Meeting prior to payment of
membership dues.
Active Membership
Those persons who meet the eligibility requirements, pay
dues, and agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the Club are
considered active members. Active
membership is limited to four years. Any
active member is eligible to hold office or to chair a committee or interest

Dues
The dues structure for the Club is as follows:
Family Membership - $45 for a full year from June 1st.
Single Membership - $30 per full year (will apply to members who live alone and/or to members who
live with aging parents or children; the lower dues do not apply to one member
of an adult couple living together).
Eligibility for Single membership will be determined by the Membership
Committee.
Financial Obligations
All interest groups are self-supporting, and the members of
a group attending any event pay all expenses.
Members shall be responsible for payment for activities of their
choosing, unless cancellation is received and accepted by the activity leader
prior to the reservation cutoff date. If
there is on cutoff date or other specified instruction, cancellations must be
made 48 hours prior to the event.
Life After Newcomers
People who have been members of Newcomers for four years
have completed their eligibility for this organization. The Alumni Group welcomes those who wish to
continue with similar activities.
